PD180 images off‑air
I recently came across some saved SSTV images from around 1998. These were received on 2 metres FM using the PD180 mode. They are from three stations - G7IZW, G3NOX and G4SYY - who were all using WinPix Pro software on a Windows (95 or 98) PC. The images were received by me (G4IJE) using my PSCAN software on an Acorn Risc PC.
The long transmission time (3 minutes for PD180) put many people off the PD modes but the image quality was way ahead of the Martin 1 and Scottie 1 modes that were popular at the time:
